Ashland Ave Resurfacing

Coming Soon. We're excited to announce that Ashland Ave will be resurfaced from Belmont to Rosehill beginning in August of 2025. In addition to resurfacing the street, crews will make it safer to cross the street, especially near Clark Park and Hamilton Elementary. The project also includes improvements to speed up bus boarding and the replacement of dilapidated sidewalks.

What To Expect

Timeline

The project is expected to last until May of 2026. First, crews will focus on resurfacing streets, replacing sidewalks, and curbs. At this stage, they’ll also be making deeper repairs where the layer beneath the asphalt is damaged. Then, in early 2026, crews will begin to add safety improvements like refuge islands and new bus boarding pads.

  • Until December 2025: As crews begin work on resurfacing, please expect temporary parking restrictions (last approximately 3-4 days at time) in affected areas. At times, there will be intermittent lane closures on Ashland Ave. Plan for additional driving time.

  • Crews will start work in August from School to Montrose Ave. In the winter, they’ll end work from Montrose to Foster Ave.
