47th Ward PArks

Parks and open spaces are vital to the health of our communities, and we work closely with local leaders to support the continued development of recreational opportunities in the ward.  The Chicago Park District is a sister agency of the City of Chicago, governed by a board of commissioners that is appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council. Get Involved: Park Advisory Councils

Local parks are also supported by volunteer groups known as Park Advisory Councils, which help guide park improvements and programming. If you want to support our local parks, we encourage you to get involved with a PAC!
